Bars can be a convenient way to snack on the run. They are portable and require no time or materials to prep or cook. Keep these tips in mind when choosing your next nutrition bar.
Real Food Ingredients:
Look for a bar that has all or mostly nuts, fruits, and grains listed.
Pick a snack with 10 grams or less of sugar. If your favorite has 15 grams or less, make sure it is only from natural sweeteners such as honey or maple syrup instead of high fructose corn syrup.
Avoid Hydrogenated Oils:
Steer clear of hydrogenated oils to avoid trans fat intake.
