Food Trends – Maple Water

First came flavored water, then coconut water, and now we have maple water. According to Veritical Water’s website, “as winter ends, warmer days trigger water to rise from the ground up into the maple trees”. It’s not water with maple syrup added, apparently you boil down maple water to get maple syrup. It provides 3 grams of sugar for an 8 ounce serving. It is best served chilled around 40Β°F and can be consumed as is or added to coffee, tea, smoothies, juices, or while cooking.
